Towards a criticism of generic art
Peter Osborne in conversation with Christoph Haffter
Christoph Haffter
In his book Anywhere or not at all the philosopher Peter Osborne published a set of ideas on contemporary art that spurred an immediate debate in the international art scene. Osborne defends a critical definition of art: contemporary art is post-conceptual art. Christoph Haffter talked with him about the task of the art critic, the aesthetics of anti-aestheticism and why we need a new Black Mountain College.
