Blessing or Curse?
On the current situation of new music ensembles in Switzerland

The article deals with questions around the current situation of new music ensembles in Switzerland, using as an example four different formations. In so doing essential aspects of the existence of the ensemble will be illustrated, such as the foundation process in relation to its location within Switzerland, and impetus will be given to question and understand the current evolution and changes in the Swiss music scene and its politics of cultural promotion.
