«Materia oscura» für Altsaxophon und Ensemble (2006/07) – 25' A.-Sax + Bfl(Pic)/Ob/Kl(Bkl)/Schl/Klav/Vl/Vla/Vc (9 Instr.)

Ein deutscher, ein österreichischer und ein schweizerischer Komponist treffen sich in diesem Konzert zu einer DACH-Runde – eine Runde, die auf eine lange Geschichte mit der Stadt Basel zurückblickt. So ist Detlev Müller-Siemens der Vorgänger von Georg Friedrich Haas als Kompositionsprofessor an der Hochschule für Musik, und der Tessiner Nadir Vassena kam im Studien- wie im Konzertleben in Kontakt mit der Musikstadt Basel.
