A Plea for a Radical Renovation of a Comfortable Tradition

In order to be able to meet the demands for cultural participation of society in New Music, two approaches are proposed, so that New Music can create an exchange process with amateurs. The starting point for that is the transfer of the innovation and reflection function, usually internal to New Music, onto a contact with society. What this could look like on a practical level is what can be seen in the examples of the projects Cage for Manager and Curating with Amateurs.
