Programm - Carte Blanche (Performance)

ie 2008 gegründete Gruppe setzt sich aus dem Briten JOC Marchington (geboren 1976 in London), dem Schweizer JONathan Brantschen (geboren 1981 in Fiesch) und dem Schweizer mit slowakischen Wurzeln JOSCHi Herczeg (geboren 1975 in Bratislava) zusammen. Die drei leben und arbeiten in London. Performance, Video und Fotografie stehen im Mittelpunkt ihrer künstlerischen Praxis. Dabei erkunden die drei in London und in Zürich lebenden Künstler mit Humor Begriffe wie Gleichgewicht und Misserfolg. Der menschliche Körper, oft nackt, wird zum Material der kollektiven und interaktiven Skulpturen. Es entstehen zwitterhafte, komische, manchmal monsterähnliche Wesen, halb Mensch halb Tier. 2013 gewinnen sie den Manor-Kunstpreis. Dieser ist eine der wichtigsten Auszeichnungen für zeitgenössische Kunst in der Schweiz. Geschaffen um vielversprechende, junge Kunstschaffende zu fördern, wird der Preis alle zwei Jahre in zwölf Kantonen vergeben. Im Wallis sind bereits Martina Gmür 2007 und Joëlle Allet 2010 mit dem Manor-Kunstpreis geehrt worden.
