Luc Ferrari revisited
An Attempt at reassessing Luc Ferrari “andecdotal” art
Germán Toro Pérez
French composer Luc Ferrari (1929–2005) came to be known as the founder of an “anecdotal” music, especially through his early works like Hétérozygote (1963– 64) and Presque rien N°1 – le lever du jour au bord de la mer (1967-70). However, up to this day, the later development of his work remained quite in the shade. The present text attempts to identify defining elements of anecdotal art through an overall assessment of his electroacoustic production.
