The Sound of the Clarinet
An Essay in Physiological Analysis

In this interdisciplinary study, a link is proven empirically to exist between muscular activations in the lower and upper leg and back, and the production of sound on the clarinet as well as its aesthetic quality. The results are presented in such a way as to allow for a direct application in artistic and pedagogical praxis.
